There is an unusually big park pavilion standing by the pond in
Haimre Park. Old folk beliefs say that the son of the owner of
Haimre manor erected it for his Orient darling. Though it is said to
have borne the Islamic symbol, the crescent moon until the 1960s,
it did not have a religious use.
