The main building of the Sänna post station is in Kangsti at the Võru-Valga roadside. The traffic on the Valga-Vastseliina-Pskov road begun in 1730. Sänna post station was built a year later but was destroyed by fire in 1834. The current building of Sänna post station was completed in 1836. In 1889, after the completion of the Valga-Pskov railway, the carriage of mail by Valga-Vastseliina-Pskov road stopped.
