Tartu as a city of river can't escape from bridges. The Market Bridge is the only suspending bridge in the city and the highest. The most famous bridge in the city is the one which doesn't exist anymore: the Stone Bridge which was destroyed in the II World War - it is alleged that even the young unsuccessful artist Adolf Hitler draw the bridge.
