F.G.W. Struve (1793--1864) had an important role in fixing the shape and size of Earth. Three of the 34 UNESCO protected points of the line set in Estonia, one in Tartu and two in Virumaa. Struve was also a man who, already in 1847, suggested that the interstellar light absorbs, something which was proved in 1930s.
