The church was built in 1866. It is a tall redbrick church with a pseudo-gothic interior. Altarpiece “Christ on the cross” (Carl Andrea, 1866) comes from Dresden, the newly restored huge chandelier from Nuremberg. Visitors can see Estonia’s biggest mechanical tracker action organ (Guido Knauf, 1866) and a memorial stone to those perished in the shipwreck of the ferry “Estonia” (Peeter Leinbock, 1994). The church also accommodates a one-room museum dedicated to the pastor and politician Jaan Lattik.
