Vasta manor was first mentioned in 1398. More mystery was added by the hidden wall
paintings revealed in 2003. Many of the remaining side-buildings set south from the
manor’s heart, by the road going to Viru-Nigula, a borough also known from ancient
times. Among other side-buildings the body of a Duch windmill can be found there.
