Kaali meteorite that hit Saaremaa 7 500 years ago was the last giant one to come down
on a habited land. Ancient Estonians ofcourse tought of the event as the end of the
world but otherwise the main crater with a perimeter of 110 meters suited them well:
they built them selves a new fort and the crater’s high edge worked as one of the walls.
