The manor was first mentioned in 1438. It has mostly been connected with the von Wrangells and von Breverns. The Classical main building erected at the beginning of the 19th century was burnt down in 1905 and restored in an altered shape (i.e. without a portico). It’s currently in private possession.
The vassal fortress in Angerja was originally constructed in the 14th and 15th centuries, but was rebuilt and modernised several times thereafter.
