Illuka manor in Ida-Virumaa was established in 1657. Having left
to Germany the last Baltic German owner Claus Nottbeck became
a brewery owner. Since 1921, after the expropriation, the manor
has been a home for a school and was restored in the 1990s. It is
located three kilometres from Kuremäe monastery.
