Also known as Lake Venetpõlve, Kaiujärve, Kallejärve and Lake Venepele. Is situated 5.5 km to the south from Kaiu settlement, in the western side of Kõrvemaa, 73.2 m from sea level. With its 34.1 ha area Loojärv is the biggest bog lake in Estonia. It is quite deep – in the centre 5.0 m (average depth 3.7 m). It is situated in Loosalu bog where there are hundreds of quagmires and 200 m to the Northern west from Lake Loosalu is another lake – Small Loosalu (3.4 ha).
