The depth of the Urvaste valley near the church is 40 meters. There are three picturesque lakes in the bottom of the valley – the lake Uhtjärv (depth 27.6 m), the lake Lõõdla (8 m) and the small Luhasoo lake. The nature around the uninhabitable valley is almost impassable. The easiest access point to the valley is the trace in the south-east of it. The trace begins from the Kurejaama station and is 2 km long.
