Luhasoo Landscape Reserve lies in Rõuge parish between the river Pärlijõgi and Estonian-Latvian border. It has been a nature conservation object since 1981 as the biggest and most integral South-Estonian bog which has been almost untouched by human activity. The hiking trail allows to observe the fen turning into transition mire and then into muskeg.
