People have tried to find out more about the river beneath this karst but its
streambed is examinable only at the beginning. People say a girl ghost once
had her oxen drinking there and the stream took them underground. The girl’s red
hairband was the only thing ever seen of them again. The name Kurisu does mean
evil mouth in Estonian.
