Situated near the ruins of an old fortification of the Livonian Order
and near a sacrificial well of curative waters the caves were used
as a refuge. They are first mentioned in the 18th century but by
other sources man carved them already before the Estonians’
ancient fight for freedom. The total length of the cave system is
about 38 meters.
