The museum is a sight worth seeing in itself: for centuries it was the home of Selja manor's resident fisherman. In the late 19th century it became the home of the father of painter Richard Sagrits, well-known for his pictures of the sea. At Kalame you will see 19th century buildings typical of the northern coast of Estonia, including a fully functional eel kitchen, which has a display of original fishing equipment. In summer you can also admire the paintings of Richard Sagritsa at the musuem.
