Salme Pruuden (1896-1993) was the founder of the estonian Girl Guides movement and a long time teacher and head teacher in Tartu Girls' Gymnasium. She was born in Männa farm in Päri parish and studied in Viljandi. The portrait bust created by A. Kuhlbush was opened in 1996 and is situated in Köleri avenue in Viljandi.
