The manor was first mentioned in 1328. West from the main building there is a
cemetery and chapel of von Middendorffs who owned the place between 1850 and
1919. The wool-mill is in ruins but the water-mill is still in working order. A famous
Estonian artist Konrad Vilhelm Mägi was born in here, to the family of the manor’s
second seneschal.
