The estate, established in 1678, has mostly belonged to the von Anreps. The two-storey Early-Classical main building, erected in the estate at the end of the 18th century was reconstructed at the beginning of the 20th century. The building got its present exterior — a mixture of Neo-Baroque and Art Noveau — after a fire in 1907.

You can find the von Anrep family cemetery 1.5 kilometres from the centre of the estate. The funeral chapel lies in ruins but a unique lion figure cast in the Berlin Royal Foundry has been preserved.
