Vene and Müürivahe Streets are connected by Katariina käik. You can see the remaining parts of St Catherine's Church in its northern end The southern part of the passage is lined by residential buildings that mainly date back to the 15th to 17th centuries.

The passage was restored and reopened in 1995 and its medieval atmosphere has been preserved. You can observe craftsmen at work in the various workshops of the passage.
