Building of the St Catherine’s Orthodox Church in Võru began in 1793. It is an early neo-classical church (architect Matthias Schons) with numerous icons and a beautiful iconostasis from the early 19th century.
The church was built between the 13th and 14th centuries and it is one of the oldest medieval churches in Central Estonia with a pseudo-Gothic interior from the 19th century.
